In so-called perpetrator work, men who are usually violent in the context of domestic violence deal with their violence and its effects on family members, i.e. children and partners. It is essential for their protection. The men develop non-violent strategies in order to live a cooperative, caring and responsible life together in the family. Perpetrator work can be most successful in a cooperative alliance of several institutions, such as child and youth welfare, early intervention and family support. In this event, we will explore the questions of how perpetrator work is implemented, especially with regard to children, and how it can be embedded in the cooperative alliance.
