I was delighted to explore the aspect of dignity in the context of the restorative justice dialogues in the penal system, which I conduct with the respective teams at a correctional facility. Time and again, we received feedback from participants that participating in the dialogues gave them "a piece of dignity" back. Over the years, this piqued my curiosity, and for this article, I was able to explore the question in depth: What does dignity actually mean, especially in the context of incarceration and being affected by crime? One of the magazine's sponsors, Dr. Clara Herz, provided me with such wonderful guidance and support during the creation of this article – I couldn't have imagined a better collaboration. Overall, it's a very successful and engaging issue!
