As a qualified social worker, systemic family therapist, trauma educator and specialist in perpetrator work, I have been working in the field of violence prevention with female and male perpetrators of violence in groups and in individual discussions for over 6 years. Through my involvement in projects and organizational tasks on perpetrator work and victim protection in cases of domestic violence at both the municipal and state, federal and European levels, I have a high level of specialist knowledge. In addition, I was involved in the planning, organization and moderation of relevant specialist conferences and symposia on perpetrator work. In my work as a board member of the BAG Perpetrator Work on Domestic Violence from 11/17-11/20, I gained a good overview of perpetrator work in Germany and Europe by setting up the necessary inter-institutional networking and cooperation structures.

conferences
I offer you the organization and implementation of specialist conferences. As part of a specialist conference, your institution has the opportunity to present and discuss the topic of restorative justice in the penal system to the specialist public. At the same time, you offer the opportunity to network knowledge and present your institution.
You can also book modules for a conference you organize, e.g.:
introductory lecture on Restorative Justice
Film screening and film discussion: "All your faces"
Expert input on the implementation of a restorative justice concept "Affected Person-Oriented Work (BoAS)" in the penal system
workshops
support of working groups
If you would like to conduct violence prevention training in your institution/authority or take advantage of specialist advice, I would be happy to support you with my professional expertise. Since I began working with violent men and women, I have often discussed the following questions with specialists from different fields: How do we recognize domestic violence? How can we address this with those affected? How can we best support those affected?
The aim of my prevention services and specialist advice is to enable professionals to recognise the warning signs of domestic violence at an early stage and gain confidence in their actions for the next meaningful intervention. In addition, any current training needs can be addressed.
My offers are specially designed for:
Professionals from the youth welfare sector,
professionals from community work,
Home care professionals,
Equal opportunity officers as multipliers,
midwives,
school social workers,
teachers,
police officers
as well as all other specialists from the school, social, health and police sectors.
I offer you tailor-made in-house training courses. Individual needs and the time frame you specify are taken into account. The focus of the event can be different: knowledge-conveying training courses and events with a high proportion of practical training are just as possible as training courses with a focus on specialist advice and even self-awareness. The training offer is aimed at social work, prison and judicial institutions that want to introduce or further develop a restorative justice process.
The individually designed training courses are an effective tool for educating employees on the subject of restorative justice in the penal system and thus ensuring innovation and job satisfaction in the long term.
Examples of topics for the focus of the in-house training:
Introduction to the Principles of Restorative Justice
Implementation of a Restorative Justice Treatment Offer in the Prison System
Restorative Justice in Practice: Case Studies and Exercises
Patient-Oriented Approaches in Restorative Justice
Secondary Traumatization and Compassion Fatigue in the Context of Restorative Justice
Transgenerational Aspects and Restorative Justice
Development of a Restorative Justice Concept
Restorative Justice and Society
I look forward to supporting your institution in the implementation and further development of restorative justice measures and to jointly researching and implementing the principles of restorative justice

Since 2000, I have been running seminars and lectures for self-help groups and professionals in self-help contact points across Germany. In my training courses, the focus is always on the individual opportunities and resources available in the respective self-help group or contact point. It is very inspiring and enriching for me to work with people who have decided to take on a high degree of personal responsibility for their own personal development. I would be happy to design a tailor-made offer for your group/contact point/institution! The seminar costs are usually covered by a project funding application to the health insurance companies, and I would be happy to prepare a cost estimate for you!
I offer the following seminars:
seminars for self-help groups
In many self-help groups that have existed for a long time, fixed habits and rituals have developed. On the one hand, this gives a feeling of security and orientation; you know who and what to expect. On the other hand, fixed habits can also block (necessary) changes in a group. In recent years in particular
has thrown what was familiar and familiar into disarray. Suddenly, group members were faced with an extraordinary challenge to cope with new things, and the familiar structure of group meetings no longer worked in some cases. This changed group life. We will exchange ideas and work out possible solutions on how we can accept new things, adapt to the dynamics of the times and still remain in balance and possibly in preserving the old and familiar.

Daniela Hirt, telephone: 0441-984 84 30, email: daniela.hirt@web.deAfter a short introduction to the topic of "supervision", the self-help workshop focuses on the following questions:
Which situations in group work are always difficult and how can we change them? These situations can be, for example: lack of agreements and rules in the group, the interests of the group members change, members do not come back, fluctuation in the group, people who talk a lot in the group, loss through death of a group member, etc.The self-help workshop relies on participants bringing up questions and difficulties from their own self-help group work and being open to topics from other self-help groups.

In many self-help groups, conversation is the main focus. However, the needs of the members vary greatly. Some want to make their interactions and group meetings more varied and experience themselves differently.
This seminar is aimed at participants from self-help groups who feel that change and movement would be very beneficial for the self-help group. Or those who have already planned or implemented changes but were not satisfied with them.We deal with the following questions, among others:
What can varied group meetings look like and how can they be designed? What ideas and suggestions are there for changes or joint activities? What is already working well and what could work even better?
Together we will work out a needs analysis of the group and develop strategies for the further development of the group.

Daniela Hirt, telephone: 0441-984 84 30, email: daniela.hirt@web.deSelf-help groups live from their members and their solidarity. All self-help groups experience a certain amount of turnover in members: "newcomers" are always joining. This offers many opportunities, but also challenges for the existing group. On the one hand, new members bring "fresh air" into the group - changes occur, on the other hand, irritations or other disruptions can arise due to the increase.
This is where it starts :Do we want to accept new members? How will they be accepted?
Do we have clearly agreed procedures for this? How can we welcome new members and familiarize them with our rules, procedures
and familiarize yourself with our culture? How much space do we want to give new members at the beginning and during the first meetings?
What can we do to ensure that new group members do not overwhelm themselves or the group?
Using concrete examples from the self-help groups (please bring your own examples), action strategies are developed on how new group members can be accepted and integrated.

Daniela Hirt, telephone: 0441-984 84 30, email: daniela.hirt@web.deEven though all members in self-help groups have equal rights, some members often take on more responsibility (e.g. leadership, contact person, moderator) than others. Taking on "more responsibility" is a big challenge for some group members.
This is where we want to start and think together about the following questions:What does leadership/moderation/contact person mean in the self-help group and what tasks are associated with it?
What is my responsibility, what is the group’s responsibility?
Group meeting procedures - which concepts and techniques have proven successful?
How do I deal with the balancing act of being an affected person with their own issues and needs in the group on the one hand, and on the other hand keeping an overview and/or leading?
We will be dealing with these and similar questions on this day, taking into account the special features of different self-help groups. The event is aimed at members who are new to a self-help group or have been leading, moderating or acting as a contact person for a long time. We want to develop action strategies based on concrete examples from the self-help groups (please bring your own examples).

Daniela Hirt, telephone: 0441-984 84 30, email: daniela.hirt@web.deThe existence of self-help groups often depends on the commitment of "leading minds". Many of these people who have been active in the groups for years develop a high degree of responsibility for the development and organization of group life. At some point, however, the moment of generational change comes. The group has to find itself anew and many questions arise. Who will take on the leadership or other roles? How do we recruit and motivate new group members? Are we really open to "everyone", e.g. people with a migration background, with disabilities, young people, etc.? What actually makes membership in our self-help group attractive for other affected people or relatives? Do we want to develop other, new goals? In this seminar, we will find answers and look at different approaches to successful change processes in self-help groups.

Daniela Hirt, telephone: 0441-984 84 30, email: daniela.hirt@web.deWhen people come together to form a self-help group, trust and a closeness to one another develop over time. You open up and the other group members know a lot about what is going on with you. You feel very connected to some group members - but not to others. Sometimes you are very committed to the group and sometimes you need more time for yourself. Maintaining the balance between committed volunteer work and your own strengths and needs is sometimes not easy.
The aim of this seminar is to help you to set boundaries within a self-help group without fear and to manage your own energy better.

In self-help groups, those affected come together and have the opportunity to talk openly about their problems and to exchange their experiences, hopes and wishes. As group leaders, you are confronted with many different issues relating to self-help group work. When people come together to form a self-help group, the focus is not only on organizational aspects (how, where, when, what and why?), but also on group dynamics (communication, conflicts, devotion and distancing).
In this seminar, you will gain more confidence in your communication and conflict behavior. So that you can support new developments in your group, you will learn about educational role play as a wonderful method with which you can playfully try out different approaches in the group. You will work out your own limits and possibilities as a group leader and thereby gain a solid understanding of your own role as a group leader.

Daniela Hirt, telephone: 0441-984 84 30, email: daniela.hirt@web.deThe diverse demands of self-help make group life lively, enriching and sometimes stressful. What can be said and what can't we say? How do we deal with new group members? Do we need more structure, such as moderation, time limits, allocation of roles? How do we deal with crises?
These questions concern every group from time to time. Actively facing some challenges in the group requires courage, composure and strength.
In this seminar there is the opportunity to work on very specific questions and case studies from the groups through the exchange of experiences, role plays and with a pinch of humor.

Daniela Hirt, telephone: 0441-984 84 30, email: daniela.hirt@web.deThe self-help group works on a voluntary basis and usually without professional support. Those affected support those affected in a self-organized circle of people who are looking for help and support with a wide range of problems and issues. Many active members of the groups develop a high degree of responsibility for the development and organization of group life. If taking on these tasks and the balancing act between everyday life and voluntary work leads to feelings of being burdened and overwhelmed, dissatisfaction and stress quickly arise. In the seminar we will look at what options there are to deal with and prevent these overload situations.
This seminar day also invites you to turn your back on haste and effort. Stress and restlessness can be reduced through energy, concentration, breathing and gentle relaxation exercises from Hatha Yoga and resource-oriented impulses from systemic therapy. Positive and fresh energy is built up and small, everyday (relaxation) techniques from the seminar can later be practiced in the self-help group.

Perhaps you know the situation when discussions go in circles, no one listens to the other anymore, tensions put a strain on the relationship and the mood is at rock bottom?
In this seminar, you will gain more confidence in your communication behavior by analyzing communication structures and sensitizing your perception. You will find answers to the questions: What makes good communication? How can I build even better contact with other people? How can I formulate criticism in such a way that it is acceptable? How can I express things in such a way that they come across as I mean them?

This leads to disruptions that can even lead to the dissolution of the group.
This seminar is about recognizing conflicts early enough and having the courage to actively counteract them. It is also about recognizing the positive aspects of conflicts and using them to your advantage.

Daniela Hirt, telephone: 0441-984 84 30, email: daniela.hirt@web.deIn Chinese there is a character whose meaning can be translated as both crisis and opportunity. The triggers for a crisis in a self-help group can be very diverse. Every crisis offers the opportunity for further development and growth for the group and for each individual. It only becomes difficult when crises become entrenched. Instead of a constructive exchange, fights are fought that sometimes no longer seem comprehensible. In the worst case, these lead to the dissolution of the group. Starting a good process of clarification is the more positive perspective. In this seminar, we will use concrete examples to develop action strategies that will enable every crisis to lead to growth!

We often encounter situations that literally leave us speechless. Often, the best ideas for action and reaction only occur to us afterwards, but unfortunately it is too late!
In this seminar, you will gain more inner clarity and composure. We will develop strategies to help you better handle difficult conversation situations in the future.

Daniela Hirt, telephone: 0441-984 84 30, email: daniela.hirt@web.deOur own self-image can sometimes be very different from how others see us and what others think of us. A quarter of our consciousness is what we call the blind spot. Others see some behaviors but we don't. There is a correlation between our self-image and the image others have of us.
A strong discrepancy between self-perception and perception of others can lead to conflicts between individuals and within the group. By obtaining feedback, you can better harmonize the two perceptions and mature as a person. You then experience yourself in (group) life as lighter, more open and more truthful.

And this can be achieved in everyday life with small changes in behavior - for example, by eating more slowly or doing as few things at once as possible. A theory that we may already be aware of, but which is still difficult to implement.
In the 1.5 hour workshop we want to get started on the topic of mindfulness with a relaxation exercise, some theory and small, practical exercises for everyday life.
